Best i-D photo shoot ever ^.^

Today, I went up to college for an organized photo shoot with Shelby and Sofi, two students in my college course. My model had canceled on me for being 'too ill' but that wasn't the case. Anyway, Shelby brought up 5 models from Polesworth with her and I was able to use three of her models, they were brilliant and I had a great laugh with all of them. This became my favorite fashion shoot of all times and will most probably be so for a while to come.

I have been completely neglecting this blog even though I got so into it to begin with. I truly am sorry about that and will start blogging more often so that you all know what I have been doing and other things with my course and my photographic life in general.

Mr. Stumpy ^.^

This is Mr. Stumpy, a very stumpy fellow

The College

I decided to take pictures of the outside of the college as it is only a year old and also visually interesting, I like the colours and shapes of this college.
Here are some of them.

<--- I like this one because of the unusual shape.

I like the different tones of greens in this one --->

 <--- This one because I like how it shows you the different colours it looks when your at different angles.

I like this one because I got my friend Shelbz in it and the unusual angle of the college, also if you look closely at the back of her hoody, it has the same green on it as the college looks in this angle.--->

 <--- I like this one as it shows the side of the college, it is also where the bike shelter is and the smoking area which is up the stairs at the right of the picture.

I like this one as it shows the entrance and also the the colour of the college and the sky is a beautiful shade of blue and the clouds can be see in a reflections on the top of the college in the middle of the picture. --->














I had a very productive day with taking pictures I have 120 images now, only 80 more to go!

College Life Magazine Photo Story

I started a project yesterday for college, its called College Life Magazine Photo Story, I have to make photographic images for an imaginary magazine called One College, to promote the college.

It is going alright so far.

I got some photos taken today of people walking up and down the stairs with slow shutter speeds, changed the ISO and Whitebalance awell... here are some of those images

So I could do with doing some more of those images, I haven't taken many and my tutor Andy wants 200 images overall... So I will take a lot more tomorrow...

After that, I had lunch time and during that I had a list made up (thankyou Shelbz ^.^) of the stuff I need to do in my sketchbook and in the order they need to be done!

After Lunch time, I went around the college taking pictures of people and the outside of the college, here are two of those.

After this, I went back upstairs and did some sketch book work and my Tutor Andy opened this box that had a camera bag, Shelby got interested in this box and decided to sit in it.

Fun times, she even decided to use her laptop on her knees, which was interesting to watch.

Starting with the first post (obviously)

Hey this is Marella, aka Mel!
I thought I would begin with the reason behind this blog, only because I thought that would be a good thing to do.
I am a student at North Warwickshire and Hinckley College. I study Extended Diploma in Art and Design (Photography) We mainly call it photography though, as thats what we do...
Anyway, as a second year in this amazing course, I have to make a blog, to do with my projects inside the course and also photographs and photoshoots outside of the course.

I am not quite sure how well I am going to do with a blog as this is my first ever one, but I will do my best.
I normally just facebook with friends and thats about it. I don't use twitter, I don't update my status on facebook every second of the day, like some of my friends (no offence to anyone who does that, I didn't mean it in a bad way, I promise)

Ok, well I am off, need to do some college work.
